Marty Jensen was a prolific songwriter who passed away recently from complications of diabetes. He was very active in Arizona Songwriters activities, and he was quick to credit Arizona Songwriters with helping him to further his career and make the contacts he needed to place many of his songs into movies and TV. Marty was always happy to assist fellow songwriters with ideas to make their songs better, especially country writers. He often said that his best friends were the songwriters he had met and worked with here in Arizona.
Marty’s long list of film and TV credits include songs placed in Remember the Titans, Wild Hogs, 10.5, My Bloody Valentine, Riding in Cars with Boys, New in Town, Trucker, A Glimpse of Hell, Dirty Little Secret, Oscar winning 21 Grams, Mystery Woman at First Sight, Where the Money Is, King of the Hill, Brothers & Sisters, Touched by an Angel, and many more.
